They also attempted to run him over with their car, they claimed. However, the cop managed to escape on his motorcycle, which was badly damaged.
Not satisfied with bashing up the policeman, the youths threw the papers from the table and threatened the cops present with dire consequences.
According to the thana police, inspector Saurabh Sharma intervened when he saw two persons identified as Satendra and Satish quarrelling at the Tarsi crossing on the Bharatpur-Mathura road. They, however, allegedly lashed out at the cop and abused the inspector and showered blows on while pushing him down from the motorcycle.
They tore his uniform and attempted to run him over by trying to crash their car on his motorcycle. Passersby helped the inspector to get up. The duo was caught and brought to the police station where they allegedly continued abusing the cops and misbehaving with everyone around.
